Food was great but the service is awful. Had to flag down our waiter to 1) take our order after being seated for 15 minutes 2) re-fill water glasses and 3) bring us a check. It never dawned on him to perhaps do these things on his own. I would be more sympathetic if it were busy but it was essentially dead. It's also kind of dumpy inside. Made me a bit scared of what the kitchen looks like.

My Thai friend introduced me to this place. She said she eats here almost everyday when she used to live in this area. I gave it a shot, since she is from Thailand, she knows good Thai food. WOW, this place reminds me of my trips to Thailand. I can't remember what we ordered since I was with my Thai friend and she already knows what to get. We had pad Thai with shrimp, that's something I know. I also tried the Thai coffee and it's delicious, I actually had 2, and I'm not really a coffee drinker!

the papaya salad, the steamed dumplings and bangkok rolls were delicious appetizers. the green curry and the basil squid were also very good. only the chicken pad thai didn't quite live up to our expectations. but overall great food for a reasonable price

Best Thai for the money in FTL! Good prices and excellent food. Decent service. My Thai friend recommended and said most authentic. He was right! Nice decor. Clean.

Awesome! Stupendous! Delicious! I love Thai food, and this place is tops. The food was incredible. I made the mistake of ordering the Shrimp Panang medium when I should have ordered it hot but that was my mistake and I'll know better next time. We were here with about ten people on a Friday evening and it was no problem with the good folks at the restaurant. They pulled tables together for us and made us feel at home. The service is stellar. The food is awesome. No one in our group did not enjoy their meal. The prices are reasonable and for some reason, very few of the people in my group had ever had Thai iced tea. If you haven't, try it. It's a sweetened black tea with milk poured on top. The milk is separate and must be mixed in. I believe they use coconut milk but I never actually made it so I can't attest to that but I do know it's delicious. I'm looking forward to visiting Thai Bayshore again. It's definitely going to be a standard "go to" restaurant for me.

I am addicted to their Pad Thai. It is the perfect combination of rice noodles, chicken, shrimp, egg, ground peanuts, bean sprout and garnished nicely with some orange slices. You have the option of getting it mild, medium or hot, I almost always get medium. The medium can vary from the normal medium flavoring to 'oh my goodness, I can't feel my face' but I never regret getting a little extra spice. The serving size is enough food to take half home. :-) The Pad Thai comes with a side salad with peanut dressing. I highly recommend!

With the wealth of excellent Thai restaurants in the area, I can't really say that Thai Bayshore is anything special but it certainly does stand up against most of the others for having some interesting menu offerings such as several offerings of frog legs in red or green curry sauce, a fresh basil or a garlic sauce not commonly found elsewhere. I've been here several times both for lunch and for dinner, and having had a wide variety of their offers, have found them to be flavorful and exceedingly well presented. Their overall decor certainly isn't much, but often with a decent touch of fresh table flowers. Though their wine menu is somewhat lacking, I've never seen the place too crowded, too loud or noisy and an overall good bargain for the price.

BEWARE!! We enjoyed the food... Had a great time, and the bill came higher than expected. They tried to SWINDLE us a couple of times. The bill was incorrect and they "fixed" it but it was still wrong. Then, they charged us more on the credit card swipe saying its "taxes". Yet on the correction bill, the amount with their written taxes was still lower than what they swiped - What? We were shocked but we didn't want make a scene over the difference so we paid it. Obviously it wasn't a tremendous difference, but STILL... So, our conclusion is although the food was great, it's kind of hard to go back to a place that was being dishonest... If you do go to eat here, just be very careful to pay attention to your bill.

torn between 2 and 3 stars... How do spell nondescript Thai Bayshore. Was starving just left Holy cross and went in for lunch. ordered the Pad Thai and Papaya sald. The lunch special comes with soup which could have been served in any dinner or deli absoluely nothing Thai about it. I asked for Limes. No limes never saw a Thai restaurant without limes just lemons. Papaya salad hugh portion just wish it had some flavor. Ditto with the Pad Thai ! I went in at 2:30 they close at 3 I wasn't rushed but only 1 other patron came in .. Plus the 3 groups of people they turned away at 2:55

My friend's 93 year old grandpa loves to dine here since it's close to his practice. The food is not authentic at all! I was so disappointed because I'm used to eating at very good Thai restaurants. The service wasn't that great either. I guess that's because we were in Miami lol. The good thing was that the prices were pretty reasonable since they have lunch specials that come with the soup of the day or salad.

Great local spot. Fantastic tom kha gai soup. Presentation is beautiful. Décor is outdated, the place needs a good cleaning. But its still charming. I've been a regular for many years and will continue to return....

Doesn't even deserve one star! One of the worst customer service experiences ever!!! The waiter and waitress totally ignored us and only tended to their regulars. They must not want new regulars nor a good tip. It took 25 minutes for the appetizers and another 10 minutes into my entree for the waiter to finally notice my empty glass of Thai iced tea. I was in conversation but also noticing that they really didn't want to help us. The appetizers were empty for another 10-15 minutes and just sitting in front of us until the waitress finally cleared it when I piled the plates on each other. The food was nothing different from other Thai restaurants. They had nice decor. I was very disappointed in the service so steer clear if you expect a great experience and great food.

Thai Bayshore sure doesn't look very inviting from the outside, tucked right next door to a Dunkin' Donuts. Surprisingly, though, entering this place, the interior is quite attractive -- not simply some mish-mash of Asian doo-dads -- and welcoming. As far as the food goes, everything was wholly decent: no standouts or anything memorable. (To be perfectly honest, I can't even recall what we ordered; nevertheless, I do know that after it was over, we both agreed that it was decent, but nothing to write home to mom about....) With so many Thai-oriented restaurants in these climes, this was simply one more place that we can say we've been to, but, more than likely, would not return. That said, again, everything was "A-OK."

I went to Thai Bayshore on Mother's day and had a great experience. Normally my mom and I would just get take out but dining inside is definitely worth an experience. I ordered their chicken fried rice and fresh spring rolls, which is worth the money. My favorite thing about dining in was finding out that they had Thai tea. I am a huge fan of Thai tea and I can honestly say that they serve one of the best teas I have ever had. The decor is simple yet elegant for a Thai restaurant, which I loved. All in All, It is a great place to relax and eat.

Thai Bayshore is my favorite Thai Restaurant in the Fort Lauderdale area. I used to frequent Thai Bayshore when I lived in the area, and after a recent cruise, stopped at Thai Bayshore for lunch to see if things were the same. And... they were! The food is still delicious. Thai Bayshore makes the best Tom Yum Goong soup I've ever had at a Thai restaurant. The broth is completely clear, but has incredible flavor. The same goes with the vegetable soup - absolutely incredible. I highly recommend Thai Bayshore if you're in the area on Federal Highway and you're looking for a good Thai restaurant. I only wish there was a Thai Bayshore in Orlando! I'd still be a regular!

The owner is a mean man! When I asked why my meal was more than the menu he told me that they added fish balls and that the menu I ordered from was the lunch menu . When I said that this is what the waiters usually give me - he then replied if I didn't like it then do not return ... And I won't .

very good. very authentic. the chefs will make u stuff that is not even on the menu. i think i like this place because they treat me VIP & let me order off the secret menu. i actually didnt order anything on the regular menu.... get the.... papaya salad with soft shell crab thai pork jerky

This was practically inedible. The panang curry, which I ordered on the mild side, in addition to being exceptionally spicy, had zero flavor. I've eaten panang curry in a lot of places, but this is the first time I've ever had to add salt. If I'd had any other food in my house, I would have eaten that instead of this bland, tasteless, over-spiced food. The restaurant was dead empty when I went in, and now I know why. Avoid this place.

Delish! Really liked this place. Nice ambiance. They did a great job catering to my vegetarian requests too. Loved the tom kha soup with tofu and parang curry with tofu :). Hubby's pad Thai was some of the best I've tasted too! Would return if I weren't headed home to the cold north.

Thai excellence, we had a table of four and the bill was only $62. Food was amazing, atmosphere was quaint and upscale, clothe napkins and clean silverwares. Try the spring rolls for apps. Awseome.

Wow, we're from the San Francisco Bay Area and dropped in on this place for dinner tonight. It was FABULOUS. The food was cooked to perfection. Absolutely delicious. It was also quiet with stirring classical music playing in the background. This is nothing like what you'd expect in a typical Florida restaurant - even a great one. I wanted to write to let folks know...this is a classy, lovely ambiance for an excellent meal and conversation. A rare gem.

The food was average. I purchased a pad thai and chicken satay to go. It wasn't the best pad thai I've had by far. They didn't even include a wedge of lemon. It was also overpriced.

Offering a "Thai only" menu means this place has some secret, special, authentic thai dishes that, if your with the right company, you can experience! Try the pork on a stick with sticky rice, fried mussels, Kuay Jub () Its amazing.

What can I say, we were in the mood for an authentic style Papaya Salad. We had gone to Cho a Dong Asian market earlier and I happened to have asked the owner, where can I eat some good Green Papaya Salad and she told me that Thai Bayshore was a great choice. I knew it was not exactly that close to us there but I felt it was worth the drive. We went and its not exactly a large restaurant but its cozy, clean, and quite inviting. We got there for the lunch and they happen to have specials from Monday through Saturday which is good. We ordered the famous salad and the waiter asked how we wanted it, spicy? We said light spice, but it came in perhaps to them light, to us middle to violent. We told them about the issue and they immediately changed our salad, no questions asked and great customer service. We also ordered the Pad Thai lunch portion. We were both able to eat extremely well for under $ 20.00. Their spice rack is awesome as they have the standard crushed red pepper, the Sriracha sauce, and the crushed peppers with garlic swimming in yummy fish sauce. The third was my favorite. This place was awesome and looking forward to revisiting them in the future and try other dishes.

Their shrimp pad Thai was flavorful however skimped on everything but the bean sprouts. Food was decent, atmosphere is small and nothing outside the ordinary.

I am fortunate enough to live near a few very good Thai restaurants and Thai Bayshore is definitely one of them. We recently discovered that they deliver which makes it that much easier to satisfy a craving for Thai. I love to start with the curry puffs just to be different. These are tasty and flavorful and unique way to start your meal. The egg rolls are good, too. I am a freak for Pad Thai. Sadly this version is not my favorite. Its a bit too syrupy for my liking BUT what I do love is the Pad Woonsen. Wow. This is a great dish. The flavors and the rice noodles are just perfect. If you are craving a noodle dish and typically like pad thai I recommend trying pad woonsen. My husband loves the squid basil. The squid is tender and he loves the sauce really spicy.

Great food. Good service. Excellent prices. Definitely coming back. We joined friends who come here all the time. Thai iced tea- tasty and sweet. Panang chicken curry- so delicious. I ordered 3 star spicy and it was the perfect amount of heat. Chicken Pad Siew- noodles were a bit softer or overdone than I prefer but overall the dish good.

I have eaten there several times and noticed the flavor of the dishes have been declining. We were a party of 6 and the service was attentive. I would rate this restaurant adequate at best.

The best, most authentic Thai in south Flordia. I have lived in Thailand and travelled Thailand extensively for 10 years, so I know and love real Thai food. There is very little in S Florida that even resembles true Thai, but Bayshore shines through the rest. It's very very good authentic and high quality food. The interior is a very nice atmosphere and the staff are very friendly.

Second time here. Started out with the chicken dumplings...nice!!! Then tried their Pad Thai and asked them to spice it up since I am a chili lover and boy they did not disappoint! Flavorful to say the least and super spicy the way I like it! Got to go back!

Saturday night at 9:30pm, I called to see how quick they could have some Chicken Pad See Ew ready, he said less than 10 minutes! Got there, and it was ready for me! Tried it for the first time and it was delicious!!! Quick, simple, delicious! Yum

On vacation and just happened to see this place. I love thai food, this place is fantastic! We had spring rolls, pad thai and garlic Chicken. All a great portion and cooked fresh to order! The chef even garnishes the dishes beautifully for that special touch. Food was fantastic! I'll have to take a box to go!

The service was spotty. Our waiter was super speedy and scattered. We found out they do off the menu authentic Asian food. Our waiter explained it is not for the typical pallet and if ordered, it can't be returned. I am a Thai Spice girl and I never thought I would say that I found something almost as good but I did. The lunch prices are good and seating was no problem. I had the Panang curry and it came with a salad for about $8. Tasted delicious! In the top of my lunch list now!

My go-to Thai restaurant that is less than an hour driving distance. Service is attentive, fast, and courteous. They serve authentic Thai food, although it's a little pricey. My go-to dishes: papaya salad, mee krob, panang curry, and the garlic fish. I also prefer the Thai coffee over the Thai tea, but they serve both. Be careful if you are not inclined towards spicy food; some Thai dishes are default spicy, and even though I tell them not to make it spicy, several times, it is still given to me spicy.

Stopped by here on the way to the hospital to work. I had not eaten Pad Thai in a while and thought maybe this would do. It did. It was empty since it was at 5pm so I can't comment on the ambiance but I can say the service was good and the food matched. I also ordered the appetizer dumplings and they were pretty good too. Way too any for a single so if I eat there again alone I will not order an appetizer.

Located in a store front south of Commerical Blvd this restaurant was a most pleasant surprise. Atmosphere 85 Better than expected Service 85 Not rushed and caring Food 90 Much better than most Value 90 A nice combination Offering none of the hype of Ft Lauderdale this restaurant just puts it all together. Recommended if you are going to eat off the water.

So disappointed. Been coming here for years. Today the service was awful but the food was worse. Yicky brown rice and veggies old and limp. Sorry just lost a customer. Bummer. Liked this place.

Delicious thai food. Have only ordered for delivery but everything is delicious but huge. The reason I don't give them 5 stars is because they need to improve their order system. We order from them once every 2 or 3 weeks or so and have to give our information every single time. Overall great food quality!

  • Erin F.

I get take out often so I Will not comment on the wait staff however the customer service over the phone/ pick up is great. I have been eating here for many years and they have never disappointed me. For local Thai at a reasonable price in this area you cannot beat them. If you eat Thai often I highly recommend this restaurant.

Bad service....hostess just looked at us and stared, then continued what she was doing, a few minutes later waves us over....didn't walk us over just pointed at a booth. Of coirse they didnt know if we actually wanted a booth, or if we had other people coming...Gave us forks, knives and spoon on side of the table....where's the chop sticks? Inside looked like an italian restaurant or something. Kind of mumbled something, very unfriendly, then walked away....just really weird vibe altogether, prices in menu higher than online, deceptive, we decided to cut losses and leave. You can decide to roll the dice yourself but such a bad intro I'd rather try somewhere with attentive service.
